Jack's Cats

We’re excited to present Jack’s Cats: The State of Swing, an album of 14 brand-new old-timey original tunes! Joining Jack on clarinet and saxophone are: Kitten Angell (vocal), Phil Small (piano), Bryan Dedlow (guitar), Mark San Filippo (drums), Marcus Buser (bass), and Blake Handler (vibes).

You don’t have to believe us when we say it turned out well (of course we are prejudiced in this regard). Here’s a recent review from The Syncopated Times, the internationally acclaimed journal of record for ragtime, vintage jazz, and swing.

We’re flattered that a lot of podcasts are sharing our new tunes. It seems to be an international favorite of swing DJs. The CD is delivered with full liner notes in a signed, limited edition, letterpress art sleeve. The collection is also available for $10 as a digital download. Both includes the hit single “Ain’t Gonna Be Blue.”
